About Mark Ankcorn …

After earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Redlands, Mark went on to graduate with honors from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. There, Mark won the school's moot court competition, served as a managing editor of the Pacific Law Journal and earned recognition for top grades in Antitrust Law, Constitutional Law, and Complex Civil Litigation. At graduation, Mark was named to the Order of the Coif — an honor bestowed on only the top 10 percent of students at select law schools.

Mark began his professional career in the Orange County District Attorney's Office in 1994, and at that time he was the youngest prosecutor in California history. Later, as the result of a successful prosecution of his very first jury trial (which happened to come against one of the most highly paid defense lawyers in California) — Mark was named by his Orange County colleagues as the "Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year" for 1994.

In the years since, Mark has gained extensive experience with bankruptcy and many other challenging areas of the law, including financial fraud and complex business disputes. He has been lead counsel in nearly one hundred trials as well as the primary attorney on appeal in more than three dozen cases.
